It's been decades since I last played Counter-Strike. I think some beta 4 or 6 was my last one.
Nonetheless, I remember back then that Cliffe/Gooseman said that weapon damage is based on the ammo type it uses, not what weapon if being fired.
In other words, a Glock 18 dealt just as much damage as an MP5, and the USP, Mac-10 and the UMP all shared the same damage.
Is it like that now as well? In CSS that is.
I can't really determine it for sure myself, seeing as I hardly manage to kill anyone with the Mac, but people fall fairly fast (enough) with the UMP, but it could be the Mac's incredible rate of fire and recoil that makes it rather difficult to handle.
Oh, and also, does the P228 still penetrate armor? I remember it did when it was first introduced. People fell like flies, but now they don't. Does it have any kevlar penetration at all (as in suffering less damage absorption from the kevlar).
Thanks in advance.
