1. CS: Source should upload to all of us CZ and Ati coupon holders.
2. They should have reached zero bugs for Hl2.

It just wouldnt be right if they released somthing on time.

it would probably cause some sort of rip in the space time continuam. so good on valve, they really just protecting us...

A message to Valve - unless you are 500% positive that it will DEFINATELY be the date, dont give us one, because you absolutely SUCK at deadlines.

But then if they don't give a date to every little thing, people complain about that too. They simply can not win with any of this.
 
I'm just annoyed they don't say why it was delayed. They've told us virtually every single thing that's in HL2 through emails yet a delay reason has to be kept quiet.

It won't hurt anyone to give a reason.

VALVe = Awesome game company, but they really DO suck with deadlines. Ah well, the trick is to not take any date they say seriously, untill the game is in your hands, and we will all live happily.
 
I wish homework/school/work was like that... Don't need to keep deadlines... Imagine telling your teacher/boss that you're project will be "Done when it's done." Oh boy.

Don't worry Valve, you guys are still #1 for me.

dont care.. i just hope that you can take demos with the beta.. and use the consol ecommand "startmovie" to convert it to bmps.. and convert the bmps into a movie, like they do for the music videos. the japanese people from the earlier vids were too nooby ;p

Would it be possible valve would lie about it and secretly put it on steam over night? Later the next day people would see it and start pre-loading, and etc. through the week as others would see it also. Possible reason for them doing this is to not have the servers overloaded with every persion at the exact time, possibly valve is still trying to get more bandwidth and a public release date would cause steam to overload and go extremelly slow because of all the people at the high point of current users....
 
Its not out yet.. gotta wait... just download Steam and when it comes out youll see it in the Play Games list.. there you will put in your Half-Life 2 Coupon CD-Key and it should download onto your PC...

I think thats accurate, right guys?

Someone on steampowered.com said something similar. This may throw the DDOS attackers off guard.

Though it's highly unlikely. When Valve say delay they mean it.

I dont understand, what could "ddos" attackers do, and why would they get thrown off guard? Sorry....
 
Well they could bring the steam network to its knees and no-one would be able to preload. If you give them specific dates they'll attack on those dates to cause maximum annoyance to everyone trying to use steam.

I doubt your theory tokin, because if it's true how the hell would they be able to release HL2 over Steam? It would kill the servers in seconds.

You think they are not working hard to get this out as soon as they can ? Im sure there is a good reason for this, just wait, youve waited this long, you can wait a little more, put it this way, we are lucky to even get 3 screenshots, you think any other developer would even do that ? I think Valve has done more then enough for its fans and in return we can be a little more understanding.
