What Does The Lightening Bolt Mean?

I was hoping that somebody could tell me what the little lightening bolt mean in HL2 Deathmatch? I've had this symbol show up a few times in the bottom right half of my screen. Though I have not been able to figure out what it means or how to use it. Thanks.

Are you talking about battery pickup?

Those power up your armor.

I'm not sure what I picked up, but suddenly the lightening bolt appears on the bottom/right half side. If those are the armor power ups, am I suppose to activate them?

No. There's nothing to activate. If you don't already have your SUIT at 100 or higher, it will automatically be applied. I believe they give you 15 SUIT.
