What really ruins FPS' for me

..is when after i've completed it, i always go back and mess around and stuff (harmless and non-ruining in itself) but then i end up turning noclip on.


..and then you see just how much work they've done, it doesn't seem as as much cuz they just make sure u never see 'nothing' so it doesnt matter what's around that wall because u cant get there. Like the apartments in some levels, you just think thats a huge box with texture on, there's fk all in it, it just really takes away from the game.

i know they're not going to make every room etc, and i dont expect them too, its just the fact i know its just a box that sort of ruins it a bit.

Yes I was quite angry when I used noclip and it ruined the atmosphere! I'm demanding my refund. I mean wtf! its 2004 come on valve.I was expecting the whole world moddled!!!! WTF were you doing? Making a phy5ics engine? lame I could make one right now!

It doesn't ruin the illusion because I'm all the time aware it is one. A freakin cool illusion of course. But an illusion.
So truning on noclip just gives you the possibility of studying level design greatness.

No ruining for me here.

Noclip is a developers command. It's there so that you can test your levels quickly without having to walk through the whole level. I don't understand why people ruin their single player enjoyment by abusing this command. It's all your own fault.

well i do like to see how it all works together, and how if you go thru a wall some characters dont continue with the conversation etc..

But i usually do it to sneak up on combine n stuff, i wudnt say it ruins the enjoyment, but it just looks asif valve havent done as much (YES I KNOW THEY'VE DONE LOADS AND ITS REALLY HARD) but even so, they've done just enough to give that illusion which is what they all do but either way, i dunno, its like i know its been made but i dont want to believe lol.

I mean like far cry, th only thing that's different when you fly around is the lack of folliage on the other side of the island.

Some of you guys are obviously just plain stupid.. creating a town i.e in it´s full state, even into the slightest detail, the game would be out in 2006. Other thing, the machine speccs would be much higher.

If you´re such a loser that you cant figure this out by yourself, then tell your mother this, no one here is interested.
