What size will the games be?

sorry if this is another stupid question, im kinda in a hurry so no time to search.. it's just preloading TF2 has taken at least a gig or two already, which I thought was kinda big.. surely ep 2 and portal couldnt be this big too, could they?

easily bigger, think about it, Tf2 is only a multiplayer, you know, couple of maps, weapons classes etc, but Episode 2 is a slightly bigger game than TF2 and Episode 1 so it'll take about 1/3 more time. And Portal, which I suspect is a normal size game like HL2 will take about 2X more time if not longer, and the graphics is great

The pre-load for TF2 contained:

1116MB - team fortress 2 materials.gcf
1352MB - team fortress 2 content.gcf
2MB - source 2007 shared sounds.gcf
148MB - source 2007 shared models.gcf
985MB - source 2007 shared materials.gcf
570MB - source 2007 binaries.gcf

So 2.41 GB was TF2 and 1.66GB was for the latest Source Engine stuff.
I'd guess Portal + Episode 2 = 4-6GB

EP2 and Portal are both using content from the source 2007 stuff.

Each game will be maximum 2 gb

HL2 and the Episodes will likely use the same updated assets. Portal uses its own unique assets, yes, as well as TF2, but all together the games should fit in one or two DVDs.

I always reinstall windows xp whenever a major game comes out, or a major group of games come out. Dam exams, 20 more days and i'll be playing bioshock and ep2 and tf2 and portal and crysis beta (download at 78 percent on bittorent lol and im borrowing the key from a friend, but the demo will probably be out by then). I CAN'T GODDAMN WAIT..
