is it possible to preload HL2 in one and a half day with 256 kb/s download bandwith?!

i just clicked the preload buttnon and in almost 2 days i got HL2! it shows 4.24 on the steamapps folder, so im guessing its right?! it also says that the download is complete!

man, i just realized steam is great!! fuc*k retail

if that is 256 kilobytes/sec, you can dl the entire game withing a couple of hours

Well, I have DSL, and my dad and I figured up how long it would take to download it, and we came up with 9 hours.. But I didn't let it download for 9 consecutive hours. I split it up between different days...But you could leave your computer on while at school, and download HL2...

So yes, its definitely possible to download HL2 in 1.5 days with 256kb/s, as far as I know.

If it's 256kbits down, then it'll take you roughly an hour to download 100mb. So, if halflife2 is 4.2gb, that works out as 42 hours. If it's 256kbytes however, it'd take you more like 5 and a half hours. Though it's more likely to be kbits/s.
