I don't know why but it just strikes me that HL2 will be released with CS:S, but then valve promises they will release other source ports in the months to come. Thing is i have a feeling we won't be seeing many of them for a VERY LONG time. I don't think their steam plan is going to fall through about how to pay monthly for awhile while in benefit getting those other mods. I doubt anything has been done for SvenCoop, plus i hear just recently they started testing DOD:S, that will be awhile before that's ever out. TFC:S, havn't heard crap...doubt they have done anything, plus whatever else they plan on releasing. Even though we can may see this game around this time next month, we may be extremelly disappointed if there is no themed MP plus no news coming from any other mods especially TF2. I know valve is doing everything they can and they are doing great except for the only thing they suck at is release dates and what they can promise you. Oh well....

Gamers just can't seem to accept a "When it's done" release date...

I feel your pain, and am waiting patiently for Half-Life 2 to come out, mostly because I want to play the game, and also because I want the SDK to start work on my mod...

Anyways, I suppose we just have to have patience. With all the preloads and CS:Source becoming decently stable I'm sure we'll be seeing Half-Life 2 within a month. But who knows.

i'm with you, tokin. i wait for hl2, not only for the single player, but for the multi-player that will be Team Fortress 2.

the commander class, a real medic (not conc-jumping flag capper), a engy that.... blah, blah.....

I guess that the HL2 MP will be much like the HL1 MP. Deathmatch. The CS:S and DOD:S and all the other Source ports will be different mods.
