What will the mods use for an announcement system?

For Half Life 1, mods used the Vox voice from the Black Mesa Computer for announcments. Like in TFC "Your team has captured the flag." Or "Switching map." My questions is what are mods going to use? The same Vox voice or an entirely new thing from Half Life 2?

Guess there'll be something similar, perhaps of abit higher quality.

I just loved the BMAS; incredibly memorable moments, and even "amateur" mod teams used it to good effect (an example is how Manke effectively turned it into a computer for USS Darkstar).

As much as I'd love to see an equivalent (especially a HQ one), I doubt it- while there could be any number of reasons for a robotic announcer in HL2, I can't picture there actually being one.

I'm sure they'll have some sort of announcing system, although it may not be robotic.

I'm sure it will be upgraded and sound more realistic.

The announcer in the Tenements video sounds dangerously like one of the AT&T voice synth people with some touch up applied, i wrote my own conspiracy theory about it, i know the term "Overwatch" has its own voice actor, but its still damn close.

fvox will probably be the same. (Gordon is still wearing a suit, so there has to be an fvox)

vox might be Dr. Breen... seems fitting (if there is a vox replacement)

Edit: It could be the one from the tenements vid though
Edit2: It doesn't sound completely like the AT&T synth voice...

Overwatch == Combine Soldier ;)

Don't forget, some mods will not use an announcer at all. For it is not needed. ;)

Hmm Ill have to check out the tenements video again. Nothing can replace the Vox voice IMO :-/
