What's up with this show Smallpox?

Heh, in america there's these previews for a show on the FX network called Smallpox. Apparently a 'what if scenario' about if a guy infected himself with smallpox, and spread it to twenty people, those twenty spread it to another 20, etc etc etc, while having a small amount of vaccine for himself.

There's just one thing I don't get. What the hell is up with the:

"It's all true, it just hasn't happened yet."

Slogan? Seems kinda bullshit to me.
