Where to start

I am doing some experiments getting models from Blender (my modeler of choice) into HL2 (currently using Milkshape in the proccess), and I am lost. Model compiling for HL2 is TOO complicated for my tastes, it could REALLY be easier, but that's OK. I need to learn anyway.

So I just have a simple cube for now, and I want to get it into Half-Life 2. Where should I start? I have it in milkshape, I have a large joint assigned to it, and I have a black material (already compiled into HL2, too) on it. I have everything, except I don't know what I need to export to SMD, or what I need to put in my QC file for this simple experiment.

Thanks,

u need to assign a bone to it i dont think u can assign a joint i dont really know about bones n stuff. then export the model to an smd call it box.smd or whateva. then u need to create a qc file for a static prop. i havnt compiled a model for so long that i couldnt give you a qc off the top of my head but check out the sdk documentation and it will show you there. then put the files in a folder in sourcesdk_content/cstrike/modelssrc or wateva. the load the qc up with studiomdl. and u need to type in the enviroment thing "%sourcesdk%" or sumit then the link to ur qc file. its all covered in the documentation. sorry this is so vauge but i havnt slept all night and it hurts my brain to try an remember all that.

1. Please speak English, most of your post I could not read easily or even care to because this is a forum, not a chatroom, and you did not take the time to make your post presentable.
2. The SDK documentation is currently offline because Valve made a retard move and made a Wiki then destroyed their documentation (or at least I can't find it, it's not easily available).

if u dont know anything about compiling:
http://cannonfodder.chaosincarnate.net/download.php?id=StudioCompilerInstaller.pre.v0.2a.exe

this makes it easier. u need to export 3 smds though, 1 for the reference (model and bones), 1 idle sequence smd, and 1 reference smd with the collision hull of the model, then u pretty much just put them in the required slots in the compiling tool kit and press compile. also try the h l 2 world wiki, they got a million tutorials on compiling models and textures:
http://www.*************/wiki/index.php/Main_Page#Source_Tutorials
where the stars are h l 2 world (no spaces)

1. i do speak english you tard
2. these questions you ask have been asked many times and answerd and if you are to stupid to use the search function then a quick google search will give you detailed tutorials. dont be rude to people that reply to your posts.

1. I did a lot of searches on Google, none helped me enough.
2. It doesn't seem like it, you don't even attempt to correctly capitalize words, use punctuation or good grammar, and from the looks of it you can't even spell "you."
3. Double-posting is not good.
4. The Wiki is not easy to figure out. Their search engine does not work well, and the pages are not linked in an easy place. Thank you for your link, however, that will help.

EDIT: Don't call me a retard until you can spell it.
