well...2nd really, i just temporarily traded my xbox for my friends PS2. He gave me a bunch of games i know very little about.

Metal Gear solid 2
Metal gear solid 3
Need for speed: most wanted
007 everything or nothing
Coldwinter
Madden 05/06
Socom US Navy Seals
KillZone

I'm currently playing metal gear solid 2( it's amazing), definately one of the best games ive played. what should i follow it up with? Is Snake eater just as good?

007 Everything or Nothing was a pretty good game, iirc. Best James Bond game since Goldeneye, though that's not saying a lot.

Throw them all away. Wait for Starcraft 2.

/thread

edit: start with one of the MGS games... :p

I'm an old jaded cynic, but I thought MGS3 was lame. It's set in earlier times so there's no radar, and the camera view is crap so you can barely see 5 meters infront of you. You have to stop every 5 seconds and go into 1st person to see if any bad guys are there. I don't like the new combat system where it's about how hard you press the O button or something, that just annoyed me and seemed pointless.

Go for MGS3

007 is bollocks, Cold Winter is meh, Killzone's decent, Socom's great if you're going to play online, NFS:MW is pretty sweet, Madden is... well, Madden

I'd probably go MGS2, MGS3, Socom, Killzone, and then rent Shadow of the Colossus or something.

Metal Gear solid 2
Metal gear solid 3

Easily.

Killzone blows something terrible.

Beat the MGS games, trade em all in for SOCOM 3, wait for something better to come out while enjoying SOCOM 3 goodness

Trade them all for a Super Nintendo and 1.99 game pawn shop awesomeness.

MGS2 and MGS3 are two of the best games ever made. Obviously I would start with MGS2 and work my way to MGS3. And if you get the chance play the Subsistence version of MGS3, it's world's better.

Killzone is an average FPS game, but I'd recommend you go ahead and play it since you've got it. It's got great graphics/atmosphere ... falls a little short everywhere else though.

SOCOM is a halfway decent game. Give it a try.

The 007 game and NFS is alright, haven't played Coldwinter. Madden is .... Madden.

Of all those, I'd go with MGS2, great game if you can put up with Raiden

Snake Eater is 100000000000x better than MGS2. Not that I think MGS2 "sucks," but it's easily the worst Metal Gear game.

Snake Eater, on the other hand, probably falls behind only StarCraft and Half-Life as my favorite game of all-time. It's that good.

For some reason MGS3 is the worst in the series to me, I just can't seem to get immersed into the game play like I could with the others.

gameplay in mgs3 is diferent since is in a jungle and all that, but still is the same gameplay just a bit diferent

the only bad thing is that is more linear that the others

MSG2 is soo awesome..I'm loving it. I completely blow though, i die pretty often.

Raiden is pretty hilarious, i can't help but crack up when his GF starts asking him stuff like " you know tomorrow is a special day right"..."Bitch, im kinda in the middle of saving the damn planet right now, i don't have any time to solve your estrogen induced puzzles."

Ill likely play MSG3 next, thx guys

Hope you played MGS1, otherwise you'll miss out on quite a bit of plot. Also, after you finish MGS 2 and 3, get yourself God of War 1 and 2. I guarentee it'll rock your face clean off.

Then get yourself Shadow of the Collosus for some epic battles. FFXII is another must-have...

Ah screw it, there's too many to list and I don't have the urge to keep going, but anyway; do a bit of research and you'll find there's a lot of good games out there for it.

I played it a looongggg time ago, i read the MSG1 plot synopsis on wikipedia. I'm know the ninja is from the first game and that pliskin is actually snake.

definately get gow1 and 2, man so awesome, i cant wait to play gow2, just waiting for my exams to end...

also mgs3 more linear? explainorz! i thought the environments were quite less linear than previous :/

Yea, i got that impression too. I watched my friend play it awhile ago, it seemed much more open.

EDIT: I don't know what im going to do without radar...im pretty crappy with it but ill be totally useless in its absence.

Patience my friend... patience

...

Or just go rambo on their ass, which depending may work depending on your skill / difficulty. I wouldn't recommend it though, simply because it'll ruin a good how the game was intended to be played and more importantly, you'll likely get swarmed and raped after a while.

No he won't.

I thought MGS3 was awesome, and the lack of radar actually made it HARD for once. Even then its still enjoyable i thought, just required more patience and tactics, thats all.

But yeah, MGS series first.

I've had to go rambo a few times in MSG2, im playing on normal and i die literally 1 every 5 min...im so used to FPS shooters lol.

I do try my best to be stealthy though, looking forward to snake eater:)
