which gun should I buy?

Guns don't kill people, people kill people, but I'd rather get beaten up for pissing someone off than shot in the ****in head. Thats why Australia is great. Gun laws are great. Sure there are still ways of getting illegal firearms but at least its not as easy as going to the local kmart, picking up an automatic rifle of their choice and shooting the shit out of down town Melbourne. Shit how stupid do you have to be to give people the ability to create so much havoc. I mean JEEEEZZZZ. At least I can walk down the street with some relief knowing that not everyone is packin.
Yeah because K-Mart sells Class III automatic weapons.

You don't even know what you're talking about.

Hey buy a PAINTBALL GUN. They're perfect. You can shoot the shit outta anything and anyone and not go to jail. Plus everyone can have a laugh as well. Then you can get a group of you together and shoot eachother and shake hands later and all go home to bang the shit out of your girlfriends. Or look at porn. You cant do that if you get hit by a bullet can you.

Oh yeah I live towards ballerat just past sunshine in Rockbank.

Uh, you can go to jail for shooting someone with a pb gun.

Yeah, the_wolf27 is right!!! Lets get paintball guns for home defence!!! We can turn our attackers green so the police can identify them easily!!! Plus, they will be all scared and run away, they won't possibly pull out real guns and shoot back!!!

I'm just acting like a retard, whats your excuse?

Learn to throw a knife, if you miss you can just say that the person you were throwing it at said "Hey give me a knife" and you didn't feel like walking. Well... You could say that if you hit too.

PB guns aren't even allowed here, unless you operate your own paintball range and have a license for it and stuff, but people aren't allowed to kepp their own at home.

I say again...

Use your ****ing brute strength, ya pansy.

your best bet is most likely a home protection shotgun. just be sure you know how to use it. the first time i used a shotgun was with a pistol grip, and damn if that thing didn't snap my wrist! i mean it. it literally snaped my wrist! also, the noise the pump makes is one of the scariest things you can ever hear (besides songs by coldplay and radiohead). if someone breaks into your house, DO NOT TIPTOE AROUND IN THE DARK AND SHOOT WHATEVER MOVES!!!!!!! I CAN NOT STRESS THAT ENOU- oops- i just farted... anyway, what you do is if someone breaks in, get the shotgun, go over to the noise and then pump the thing and ask "who's there?". if you have friends over, ask if it's them. if it ends up that your friends are awoken by your calling tell them to hide and for the intruder to get out of the house, and that you have a shotgun and you will blow them to bits if they don't get out, or they come through a door. but make sure you don't have a round chambered in the shotgun or else pumping it will cause it to eject a perfectly good round. that's one less round, but still. and don't be concerned about the loud noise. just think, what's more important? your hearing, or your life? the only reason, i believe, people are unintionally killed is because of idiots that don't know what they're doing and just tiptoe around in the dark and shoot whatever movement they see. now i don't know if someone already said this because i'm a lazy american (that's just normal american, though). but, if you forgot, then here's your reminder. sorry, i'm a "gun-thusiest". also sorry my post is so long, but you guys know me...

Depends on if you're buying a generic plinker long rifle or if you're into the tactical .22 scene.

~$150-400 average price depends on where/who you get it from.

I wouldn't recommend starting out with a bolt action .22 though, semi-automatic is good for a first timer, just make sure you or they don't start shooting too fast.

You can shell out a little extra if you are a fan of .22's and go tactical with something like this

etc etc

Also make decent handguns to start with.
