Who Are These Guys?

I saw these creatures when I was going through the citadel on that ride thingy. These things look like humans but starved, and their eyes covered (Screenshot included). I figure they are human slaves but I dunnoh why they are kept that way.

They are called Stalkers. They are the human equivalent to alien slaves of HL1.

I wouldn't say it's stupid, but it is rather odd.

Half-Life is a series where you can play through the second by itself without any knowledge of the first one and still enjoy it (kinda like the Terminator movies).

But seriously DubDub, you should find a way to play through the first one. It will answer many of your questions and provide you with an experience that I would consider a timeless classic. It's just that good.

Well, I wouldn't say equivalent. Alien Slaves don't have all of their fluids drained, their legs hobbled, and their brains removed.

What better way to make the enemy not want to fight you? If I knew that when I fought the Combine, or commited treason against them, I'll get tortured, starved, lobotomized, face-plate covered, made into the Combines personal B****'s, and just all around owned, I would'nt fight them either.
