HP=Compaq (same company)

This one is better IMO (faster CPU/use less power/more RAM) although neither video card is very quick even for a mobile (intel x3100 vs nvidia 7150m). Video card is more for basic stuff and a little gaming.

 

[Polaris]

Sony and Apple, but they are pricey as hell.
HP is pretty good too.

Fujitsu-Siemens are pretty good in my experience.

Personally id go for Acer but thats just me.

But if it were one of those 2, id go for the first one.

They have model for all budget. I have an U6S and it's solid and cool looking. NCIX sell Asus laptop.

I have nothing but great things to say about my Toshiba Satellite which has worked flawless for 2.5 years now.

I hear Panasonic tough-books are really good as well. But they're super expensive.
