You may select three copies of the Half-Life 2: Episode Two pack if you would like, however, I would need your friends' account names if they are to receive the game subscriptions, as I must manually subscribe the games to their accounts.

The only way to find out if it is true (I believe it is true, why would he lie?) is to E-mail Danial at Valve, or wait until the 9th of October and check if it has been added to your steam account.
