I don't think we will see many more major casualties (that shock is done), but I get the feeling Judith screwing over the combine like she did will mean she has a price on her head. I expect her to go 'missing'.
 
I'd expect Dog to perish while protecting Alex.

Yep, I can bet you that Gordon will die several times during Ep3. It won't be epic, he will just lie there still while everyone else stops their activities and just stands there. Only should Gordon move will everything turn to white and his death suddenly is erased.
 
Alyx will probably go in some typical self-sacrificial revelation scene (You must die/walk-into-that-laser-beam to save group Z) that will leave her fate slightly ambiguous.
My money is on G-Man (who isn't in the poll) either dying, failing his objectives or losing control of a situation resulting in unforeseen consequences for himself.
 
I think Magnusson will die pretty early in the next game (if he does). I don't see why everyone hates Mossman :p.
 
Well like someone else said Mossman ****ed the combine over so she is sure to have a huge price on her head
 
Unless Breen made it out of the citadel, I don't see how any of the Combine could have known.
 
The same could've been said about Eli yet look what happened to him.

They both have comic relief status. I don't see how Valve could kill one of them off and not make me feel awkward, or frankly comment "Well that sucks." Those two are the foil to the dank and depressing atmosphere that presides over the whole setting. It would be unwise story/script writing if either of them died during episode 3.

If I had to pick anyone I'd probably say Dog.

We haven't seen or interacted with Mossman for two full episodes. It would be strange to bring her back, then kill her again. Don't get me wrong, I can see why her character is in a good position to die because of (this is a real spoiler tag)
because of the news that someone, let's say Alyx will bring to Mossman of Eli's death
and I can see how great emotional script-writing and voice acting could take place, but there isn't a lot of contrast between her death and the rest of the episodes. I feel as a player I haven't grown on Mossman enough for me to feel the sting of her death, especially since we only very briefly got a glimpse of Mossman's redemption at the end of HL2. It feels like we came to a great uptick in Mossman's dynamic character, but we hit a wall prematurely when we never see her again for another 3 episodes (save for one video clip that tells us nothing about her character).
 
Yeah, Magnusson is too new and unimportant so he cannot die. And Kleiner.......haha

Also, I think Mossman is the most viable candidate because as we have seen, Arctic Base was attacked by the Combine and concept art showed that Borealis was under the Combine's control.

You could also say the companion cube was comic relief...yet he/she's dead.

I'm skeptical about that. Part of her died, but part of her was re-born as well. "We weave the Freeman's life with hers..." The bond between Alyx and Gordon elevated to more spiritual ground in Ep2, so I'm a little doubtful that she will die. But that's just crossing over into personal opinion.

The companion cube was a static object. While it was humorous, there was no objection to the fact that Chell wasn't attached to that cube in any way. The cube wasn't a foil within Portal, being used as contrast to a dark setting. The mood was more mysterious than gloomy. GLADOS was comedy unto its own.

The reason I thought that Magnusson would die is because of the attacks on his building. Kleiner and Magnusson are both comic relief, but Kleiner is there to stay. Magnusson has dealt a severe blow to the Combine, but the Combine know he's there, and they know he is a very large threat. Death to Magnusson.
 
Naah, he wouldn't die. It's UNPOSSIBLE!!

Also, I must add, I didn't felt any feelings towards the Cube, so i just cannot understand why everybody fan it so much. It's just a freakin' prop.

It's the idea of the thing. Here you are, in a building ruled by a passionateless A.I. with the only reward being a bread based food item. Then they give you a Box with a heart on it. Then you're forced to kill your only friend. Thats what the cube is all about you heartless monster.
 
I think the doll is a waste though. I've always though valve should release a civil protection figure.

Hey they released a lancer with Gears. Maybe this is the next step up. Wouldn't it be cool to get a free industry standard crowbar with a preorder of Half Life Episode 3?

I don't think Alyx will die seeing as though Eli has already died, I think Judith will die/go missing and perhaps at a stretch Barney.
 
Judith and Barney; Judith will be killed by advisors and Barney will take a bullet for gordon or alyx maybe.
