Why Doom3 is not in HL2's league.

Lets get this straight you start the game and it's great, the models look superb,the game scares you at first, but after a few hours playing i'm bored already.There is no plot of any note,the levels all start to look the same lacking variation,the small corridors restrict movement when fighting.You stop being scared after an hour when you get used to it and gets pretty dull, like farcry all action nothing else..

When all is said and done and the initial "oh look at that sexy monster" fades your left with a pretty average game thats been overated by the eye candy, and to be honest the large outdoor locations of HL2 look far,far better.Only the models in DOOM3 are better, but at a great expense to gameplay i feel.

HL2 will destroy this game in variation,story,locations,gameplay,interaction, mark my words.

I agree. i dont even think doom 3 has good graphics. it's just a shoot anything that moves game. it will weep at the site of half-life 2.
