Why Steam is awesome

My friend bought Fallout 3 (for $39.99) last thursday. The day before Bethesda started selling it 50% off ($19.99) for a weekend. When he learned this, he asked Steam Support for a refund. They sent his money back for him to buy game at its new price.

I'd assume it was because they knew he'd just be buying it again. Also - in that time none would be able to play through Fallout 3 for the first time. So he couldn't have been stooging Valve...

Well, refunds are a way of pleasing the customer so that they will buy more in the future, because of their positive experience.
