Why won't they talk?

Valve won't talk about upcoming games, just why? Well, they say they don't want to have a pre-HL2 scenario where they say something and change it later. We don't care, do we? I mean, we just want to know what you guys have so far. We don't want promises, we just want a confirmation that you guys at least have HL3 in mind! Who agrees with me?
