Will Day Of Defeat Source work with the Bronze version of half life 2?

One of my friends told me that Day Of defeat source will only work with the Gold, or silver versions is that true?Or will it work with Bronze?

I'm sure you can purchase it off of Steam if you don't have it. Having the special editions means you already bought DoD: Source free if I'm not mistaken.

DOD Source comes with silver and gold, but not bronze, however this doesn't mean it won't work with Bronze. I believe Valve said they will release DOD Source as a separate game to purchase for a small fee on steam, so you can add it to your Bronze account. Valve won't let retail / bronze customers miss out. So no worries.
