Will HL2 have....

...the ability to aim by looking down the barrel? Its a feature Ive come to like from plaing games like vietcong/COD/Farcry ect. Makes it more realistic. Does anyone one if HL2 will have such a feature?

HL2 won't have ironsights.

It may be useful in a slower game like STALKER, but Half-Life 2 is a little too fast pace for iron sights.

Yea, it's very possible todo with the Half-Life 2/Source engine, but it simply doesn't fit into the game .

I think ironsites "fit" into any fps game, and I am disappointed you dont at least have this option but oh well. *edit* if you cant use them well you are nub, I find using them to be much easier than using a stupid + in the center of the screen. Plus they actually make you feel like you are shooting at something in more realistic fashion. :thumbs:

It's not really needed, it's a bit pointless in HL2.

HL2, no matter how much you hate it, is arcade gaming.

Well first off ironsights aren't as realistic as you would think,only special forces use ironsight shooting most ppl drop the gun slightly, so u only see the sight on the end of the barrel, 1 reason its not used that much is because its dangerous, your about 65% more vulnerable when looking through ur ironsights.ironsights are only used for long ranged precision shooting.
