Will Steam resume a cancelled update?

I was just wondering since this DoD update is taking forever and I need to go to bed probably before it's done.

If I cancel the update (which is pretty much just downloading the whole 350MB of DoD), will Steam be able to pick up from where I left off and complete the rest of the download tomorrow? Or would I need to start all over again?

Sorry I can't answer you're question, however I suggest you just download the DoD torrent and then unrar it and put the file into your SteamApps folder. That worked quite well for me.

That's what happened in the Beta, you were able to resume. Although, it didn't say "Resuming" or anything.

I gathered by the fact that one of the movies, I downloaded most of it then exited, then I resumed and it didn't take long as all.

Yes, steam is constantly saving the download in the cache file and it will contine where it left off.
