Well ive started working in hammer a few months ago and this is my first project:
Map is called Paradise Garden, this map was thought mainly to CSS.

History: Some terrorists plan on kill everyone in this city block with poison gas, but something went wrong and the trucks were ambush by Counter Terrorist.
The Terrorists r forced to hide in a construction yard, now they have to make the Gas tanks in the trucks explode.

Atm alot of the ambient buildings r missing, i have here a set of screenshots in many of the versions since beginning.

i like the way it looks,
an idea you can consider is puting the map you have already ontop of a huge building and then make a skybox with buildings and crap all around you, itd be like a park on the top of a roof in a huge city(like the beer commercial for labbat blue)
 
Good luck with framerate - large open maps can be a renderspeed nightmare... :(
 
yeah i know atm the only problem i have r the sewers i made, i think i made some poo in the water and its very high detailed so if u look into it your fps go to 40 :flame:
