Word symbols/alt number combis

I've tried google and looking in word itself, but I can't find out how to put in the wavenumber symbol (a v with a bar over it). It would be most useful if you could help me out with this predicament. :)
 
Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map

Might be one in there.
 
I used the character map thing with my sig.

You can do that by simply clicking the kay right to the ? too..on german/scandinavian keayboards, atleast :E
 
I dunno, but I think u§ing thi§ one i§ fun.
 
if you set your keyboard to international (like mine) then you can type all those letters without alt commands:

é ú í ó á è à ù ì ò ñ õ ã ü ö ä ë ï

Yeah, well... I know an ALT shortcut, therefore my leetness exceeds yours! :P
 
I don't think exists, at least not in the default fonts. Maybe some special mathematical font has it.
