WOW- dxlevel has MAJOR effect on performance (and quality)

I switched to 7.0 just to check it out.. wow.. the fps doesnt go anywhere below 60 on my fx 5700le.. The quality is shit, though. The textures look like halflife 1(and a half).. and the shadows are blobs.. I'll see what it's like on 8.0.

DX 8 looks almost as good as DX 9 and you get better performance (about 10 fps for me), but I can't live without water reflections.
