Ok...so it isnt really flying...but its a pretty cool video. http://www.ahajokes.com/video/m117.zip If a cat can jump from that height without being affected at all when it lands, why cant a cat jump from the empire state buillding and live?

That is what I have been trying to tell people that cats can jump from very very high places and live, But no one seems to get in and then the do all this math that proves nothing

Not my cats....or at least 2 of my cats. There so fat that i bet if they fell from over 10 feet their legs would collapse....However i have one really skinny cat that i believe could fall a long way down without being hurt.

Yeah, because it probably hasn't reached its terminal velocity by the time of landing. But if it did (and it does after 5 stories I think) then the height no longer matters.

Geez the cat landed on hard concrete and went running off like nothing happened.
And when thinking about when the animal reaches terminal velocity, it assumes the animal will be accelerating from 0, which may not be the case as you can see above.
