I'm currently seeking someone that has interest to write up the complete story line on Half-Life/Half-Life 2. I need the complete story about the game. I will be releasing my site this month and I will publish your story on the site.

Thank You for time.

P.S. I hope it was ok to post this. (No advertising)

Just email me or pm me on this board.

HL-1: Gordon is a scientist, he blew black mesa up, aliens came and killed some scientists, gordon killed them, the world was saved.

HL-2: I dunno, nobody does, 'cept Mark Laidlaw...

This might be better suited to the 'help wanted/offered' forum.

We don't know the complete story to HL1 and 2, and won't know until the end of this month (don't start ;) ), so you may be waiting a while.

Gordon Freeman is a scientist who ****s shit up at Black Mesa Research Facility, which is funded by the government and is underground for the most part. When the experiment goes wrong, purposely set up by the G-man, Freeman is set through the game of HL to get out of black mesa. However the army and spec ops have been sent in to take out any living Black mesa personnell, as what happened down there must remain in complete secracy. G-man is unknown character at this time, and in hl2 you are working for him, as it was a trade to keep your life.

About as brief as i could get without missing any details. Feel free to add on ppl

wtf u should be thanking me noone else. noone gave u jack shit except me.:flame:

From what little we know of the plot in Half-Life 2, here's the gist of what I've gathered: The Combine, which is a coalition between humans and aliens (select group of humans, that is), is working to overthrow the planet. The Citadel in City 17 most likely plays a large role in this expansion, seeing as how it slowly munches away on the urban environment, creating an even larger territory for itself in the process. Alyx Vance, daughter of Eli Vance; a former scientist at the Black Mesa Research Facility, is part of a resistance force to destroy the Combine movement. You, as Gordon, team up with Alyx and the resistance in an effort to put a stop to the Combine's destruction. You supposedly work under the employ of the G-Man, but what your role is other than kick alien butt is unseen as of yet. Feel free to clear up any errors I've included or add details of your own.

Well, off topic I just played the Doom 3 alpha. Now those are some nice graphics.

Indeed. Gotta love the sound design as well. Very moody and creepy. I wonder if Trent Reznor worked on this aspect or just the music.

Now that you mention it. I don't here any music what so ever! Whats up with that? I hear zombies/speech/sound effects just fine....

And another thing I don't get is how people are always saying "Don;t judge the game, its in its alpha stage! Its not fair!" The game looks f*cking amazing to me, what alpha are they playing?

Yeah there was no music in that...but nice ambient sounds. When you turn a corner in the level where that half animal/machine busts through the pipes, you hear some cool whispers and groans...quite effective IMO. It certainly gave me the willies. As far as people's criticisms go, I think they're referring to things like little implementation of a physics engine (which is silly, because it is alpha), and other aspects which fail to surface for me right now. All in all I'm sure that it will be a great game once its released.

And I though Trent Reznor wasn't doing Doom3 music anymore because it was taking too much time. Which is a damn shame, doesn't get much better than Reznor.

And yeah the sound effects really were nice. The game gave me a shock on quite a few occasions. Very good all around.

Didn't hear he left the project. That's a shame. Oh well, I'm sure he'll stll have left at least a shadow of an imprint on the game.

Hehe, I don't think I've ever seen a thread get hijacked in such a random way!

Not that I care much, I just thought it was funny!:cheese:

I mean I could be wrong, or the source could be wrong. Afterall he was in that trailer/behind the scenes of Doom 3 dealie.

Actually I didn;t want to start a thread about doom3 since people bitch about it so much, so I decided to just talk about it in here.

That was a great video. It was cool to hear what Carmack had to say. Just watching him hunched in front of a computer...you know he's a genius.

Yeah he really does look like a genius...I mean he's basically a rocket scientist now too, which is pretty crazy.

How did he develop a relationship with Reznor anyway? Thats a kind of bizarre duo if you think about it.

Good question. Maybe Reznor contacted him? In that video I remember Reznor was practically gushing at how cool he always thought the Doom series was.
