Xbox version of HL2 - Please help!!

I just bought HL2 for Xbox and straight away the game kept stopping at loading screens saying dat it didn't recongnise the disc and that it was dirty or damaged. The third time i came to play the game it just wouldn't work it just kept telling me that the disc is dirty or damaged or not an Xbox game. So i took it back and got another disc : same problem. Dis is soooooo anoying and i have to get bck onto da game.
All my other games work. I've heard of games simply not working on some xboxs, could dis be it???

Has dis happened 2 any one else?

It's obviously a problem with your Xbox

Sorry but not many people here have the Xbox version. Do your other games work? Is the Xbox clean?

Indeed, Sounds like the X-Box itself is knackered :/

i'd give the XBox a good clean, blow into the cd drive of the console, there maybe sum dust hanging about in there.
