If it is real, (I'm pretty sure it is) it's a photo of the D Day landing in Normandy (6 June 1944)....Judging by the US ships, I'm guessing it was either Utah Beach or Omaha Beach.

I had the same problem when I was growing up. So did my brother and sister. The kneecap had a tendency to pop to the outside of the knee. Something about missing a little ridge on the tibia that is supposed to help keep the patella in place. I never had to go under a blade tho, kinda grew...
