Well... I seriously doubt the G-Man is Gordo's father, or gordo in the future... but one thing I thought about.

Seeing as the G-Man has the ability to stop time, and his irregular speech patterns, many a theory beleive he isn't human.

I don't know if I agree with that, infact I don't know what to beleive at all, however...

What if the G-Man is just an alien entity... like a "ghost" (for a loose term) who's made himself look like someone familiar to Gordon (i.e. his father ;) ) so it may not be his father, but it could have just made itself look like his dad.

This could also explain why Gordo is actually going through with this... I mean, if I had any sense, I would gtfo of black mesa but if my dad came to me wearing a suit and talking like some sort of weirdo then I'm sure I would do what he said, regardless.

oh well, just a what if half-baked theory

Gordan accepted G-Man's offer at the end of Half Life 1 (well, you did probaly) because it was that or death.

Word on the grapevine suggests G-Man is an Alien assuming the body of a Human for covert reasons. Or perhaps, to allow familarity.

G-Man has difficulty expressing the language both verbal and body. And therefore comes off in a very bizarre fashion. Regardless, G-Man is not your enemy. And I doubt he will become one. I believe G-Man is probaly part of a species that seeks to strike down the power crazed Combine. An, inter-galatic resistance if you will.

Its *Gordon, not..."Gordo"

well as it's sci-fi why not make G-Man the projection of a rogue Combine AI (they do rely on advanced tech after all..) - maybe it's trying to get free of the combine..course theirs no evidence for this at all....except an uncanny ability to appear on screens just as your looking at them...? just a thought.

to original poster---

if you where in black mesa, you would have never gotten out alive, and would have had a nuke dropped on your headcrab infested body!!!!!

Gordon is the man.

One, I call him Gordo because my cousin's name is Gordon... but we call him Gord or Gordo, so dont even worry about it.

I never was suggesting that the G-Man is against you... just that he is some entity...

Granted, you're right about the whole BLack Mesa thing, but again, it was just a kind of... "what if" thing

Interesting, but there are some problems with your theory:
1. Gordon WAS trying to gtfo of Black Mesa! about half of the game you're trying to "go to the surface" as the scientist tell you. It's not untill later on that Gordon takes on a more "nobler" cause.
2. The Gman never talked to Gordon except at the end. So even if he did look like his dad or whatever, Gordon still wouldn't know wtf to do for him.
those, and a few other ones I'm too lazy to write. :dozey:
