A Summary of the Political Threads

This basically sums up the quality of the conversation on the political threads.

Look. Why is it so hard to be decent to each other and really try to have a good conversation. Most of what I see are a bunch of insults and logical fallacies.

Its hard for me to understand you when all I read is opinions without solid reasons. I also understand that many of my posts appear the same way to you and I am sorry for that.
 
This is the point of the Politics forum.
 
politics in most forums are like the town hall meetings. You get this for figuring it out in 2009

mavericks, town halls, Michael Jackson, health care....I AM FUKING SICK OF HEARING THESE WORDS ALLREADY!!

this country needs new topics...like the biggest threat larger than all of the other ones combined. the mere fact that NASA last week announced it cannot find all the NearEarthObjects that float around our planet. Why on Earth do we spend billions protecting Wall Street when we only spend a fraction on planetary defense. also now that we're in space, we should at least set up a defensive grid since our probes are exiting out solar system (i have a theory that once out of out Sun's gravity, they will speed up tremendously)

i dunno, i just would like to see the biggest problems looked at first, and overpopulation would come in a mere second place
 
Warped. What is your theory on probes accelerating tremendously, and what does this have to do with a defence grid?

well if we send out probes, they could end up in someone else's star system and who knows....maybe they're hostile and we should stick a HD camera on a probe before we go and launch it into the unknown. i guess it was a good step in the right direction to send the Voyager probes, but they could also be our doom. also a defense grid meaning shooting down asteroids

Summary of Raken's posts in political threads: only I see the truth nobody listens to me I'm right they're wrong why can't they see it? They're so close minded.

Ummm... We've kind of 65 million years without a catastrophic asteroid collision. I think we'll be ok for a year or two. I'm far more concerned about global warming and overconsuming ourselves into extinction.

I think HD might be a tad extinct before a probe could get anywhere near a new system, let alone one that harbors life. Right now I think Voyager 1 is somewhere in what is called the heliosheath yet still considered to be inside the solar system. It is incredible though that we have a probe that is around 10 billion miles away. :O

also there's a homeless man living in my area who rides around on a segway. he also has a german shepperd with him at all times. carries a sign strapped on the front of the segway that says something about the town forcing him into bankruptcy and to please give him spare change ..it's quite surreal

last time I saw him I didnt have a camera on me. I dont see him often but I will try

Digital art is the reason. "Draw" might be confused with actually using a pen or pencil to draw something.

Also how else could I say I make pixel art. "Draw pixel art" just sounds ridiculous because it's almost nothing like drawing.

Personally, I prefer to shoot people rather than take pictures of them.

I never pretend to be the ONLY one who sees the truth and I am far from omniscient.

You guys are honestly promoting what you believe is the best for humanity and that is honorable. I happen to disagree with some of your positions... so I try to make my case in a way that it will makes sense to you so you can know both sides of the argument.

You don't see because you are too busy insulting other people.

Yes you are. Where is this famed "Tolerance" and "acceptance" that the liberals flaunt as their banner? I know religious conservatives that give your political ideas more credit than you give to theirs.

Tolerance is bullshit. So are those annoying "coexist" bumper stickers. Every single ideal in this world should be up for criticism.
