I think reinstalling steam fixed it. Thanks for the help though bro.

Nevermind. Still broken. I did get a memory could not be written error though.

I see you're using omega drivers, is that in part due to you trying to fix the problem or do you always use them?

Have you tried the latest nvidia drivers?

The problem with nvidia drivers is that with my graphics card it changes the resolution and stuff to 4-bit and like 640x480. When I try to change it to 32-bit it wont change. It use to work but then someone said to download omega drivers but then when I tried to go back it did the 4-bit thing. But I was having problems before I had omega drivers but I think they were different? So maybe that would fix it getting offical Nvidia drivers.

Source doesn't play nice with background processes. When I had Process Priority Saver installed it would cause TF2 and L4D to BSOD upon loading, but only every couple of loads (sometimes they'd load and play fine, sometimes it would immediately BSOD).

So try a clean boot where you aren't running anything other than windows services and processes and see how the game runs. Then do process of elimination if that fixed your problem.

Last time I tried clearing all my startup shit except windows stuff I couldn't start my computer so I had to restore previous settings.
Right now obvious programs are Freeram XP Pro and Avast also rocketdock.
