American Folk/Country Music

Please post reccomendations.

I like Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Woody Guthery, Bruce Springstein;
I really only like the Old stuff by Cash, Very early stuff by Dylan, all of Guthery and I have only heard the late stuff of Springstein. I here his earlier stuff is more rock and rolly? What Springstein albums can you reccomend?

I also enjoy Kris Kristofferson.

Sorry that no one has posted here yet. Maybe you can listen to Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and Joan Baez. These 3 guys are pretty much all I have of what sounds like folk music etc. I'm really not sure though.

Try Gram Parsons. His two solo-albums are great. While you're on it, also try the Flying Burrito Brothers, his band before he went solo. You'll like it.

I suggest you check out Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (Rock with some hints of Folk, and their album Howl is VERY folkish)
