Another reason to buy Gigabyte

Yup. I've used Gigabyte mobos on my past two builds (mostly because they're inexpensive but in my experience reliable, and have onboard firewire) and they're great. I don't have one of those new copper-laden ones though.

Kewl sauce. Would you rate Gigabyte as the best mobo for gaming, in the mid price range?

Gigabyte has hired freelancers to steal copper from city infrastructure!

:P

I wouldnt doubt it, copper is expensive as hell

Asus, rock solid, heart touching, just like my wang.

Gigabyte strikes again with the marketing BS.

The title of this thread needs to be changed. Gigabytes "our boards are stable" BS needs to be stopped.

I've been fiddling with electronics for 20+ years and have had 0 blown caps, bulging yes but not blown. Meanwhile we get all this sold capacitor crap.

It's a marketing ploy (an expensive one). Having additional copper in these low power enviroments is in no way an advantage. You would only need additional copper if you were exceeding the current rating of the existing copper, something that can't happen anyway since the board wouldn't get UL or CE approved if the current rating on the copper wasn't proper.
