Ant Infestation

Ok this is the third time we've had an ant infestation in the house, the kitchen primarily. These little bastards are everywhere, in the sink, all over the counter, in the cabinets. I must have killed 50 of them already in the timespan of an hour. Last time we got rid of them I used bait pads with ant poison over the course of about a month on them which killed them off for about a year. Now the next generation is here and infesting our kitchen (I found a few crawling on the living room walls as well). But this time their not taking the bait pads (at least not yet).

Does anyone have a quick way to kill off this ant infestation? As of now I don't even eat in the kitchen anymore. its so disgusting to be eating and watch 10 ants crawling all over the cabinet. Thanks if possible

i would kill myself, seriously, ants freaks me out hardcore. They are probably crawling on you while your asleep. Im sure that just underneith the small wooden floor there is thousens just swaring, crawling over each other, just waiting to come through and eat your brain!1!!

Put some grits on the source, wait awhile and flood the source with water. When the grits expand it should kill the ants that ate it.

If that doesn't work then just do what Ikerous said.

They freak you out? I'm 5'9 and 135 lbs. The ants are like 1 cm tall, and weigh so little I don't even know what units to use!! If anyones scared of anyone, the ants are afraid of the humans. I just find them disgusting, like when I'm eating and see them crawling around, knowing theres a chance that ants have crawled over your food before.

****, I hate ants. Clear out all your food, put them somewhere else, and let off a ****ing RAID bomb in there.

When I was a very small kid I use to fanny around in my front garden with a water pistol - a little pump action 2-handed jobbie. At about the same time a huge ant's nest popped up there. My dad saw my mercenary potential and stroked his chin in a 'hmm' manner.

His idea was to add a healthy amount of Domestos (a type of strong bleach/toilet cleaner) to the water in my water pistol. He then handed it back to me and told me to shoot up those ants and their nest. I was scared, mother. But seeing those ants crease up and act like they were melting in the face of my onsalught, yea, that was a strange mixture of horror and awe. It ruined my water pistol though, I think it screwed up some of the tubing inside it.

The 2 main things to remember are:
1) they can't see you if you don't move
2) how can they cut the power man?! They're animals!!
