Seems pretty normal to me. This is normal, i feel relaxed. I get scared when Valve start revealing information.

I'd rather valve stayed quite then announce a delay.. Meaning, I would prefer no new info and the game this summer over a lot of info and another delay..

I'd rather them announce a delay than stay quiet. That is, if they already know its going to be delayed. No need letting the community wait if they already know whats gonna happen. I *DOUBT* the game will be delayed though.

Remember when the hype was up and valve was on top of the things same time last year? what happened...

Even if they are quiet, I'm happy that they're trying to finish the game ASAP. That's what counts...so I can live with it.

I just wish they would offer a little reassurance every once in a while... Things like, "No, the Valve offices haven't been teleported to another dimension, we're still working on the game, and we are on track."

I doubt the game will be delayed again, maybe until somewhere in September or October, but not later....I hope

Basically, I think we're going to hear nothing until the endish of summer they'll be news on sites saying "Half-Life 2 has gone gold".

And maybe a release date.

They're still answering e-mails though. I got one off Gabe just yesterday. I wouldn't call that a silence exactly.

They just don't want to talk about releases, and with good reason. It won't be too long now I'm sure.

Did you post your email to the Valve email topic? That's presuming that it wasn't full of sweet nothings between you and Gabe of course :upstare:


I guess I am always an optimist. Doug L was saying just b4 e3 how the game was about to go beta, so that means it's close right??
