'Cuz I am, and, y'know, my opinion just rocks :P

However, in all seriousness, I think Amy Lee has an amazing voice. What are your thoughts? Love her or Loathe her?

Used to love them.

I love Amy Lee's voice, she has a great set of pipes.
But the whole "goth" look is just lame.

As far as songs go, the lyrics leave much to be desired... they sound great though.

Their new album Open Door feels like a step backward... sounds more poppy than Fallen or their older stuff.

If you like Evanescence, give Lacuna Coil a listen.

Yes. Amy Lee has a great voice. And she looks good too.

I haven't heard anything from the new album except Call Me When You're Sober though. >_<

Ditto. Also, I would bang Amy Lee without a second thought.

Except... make it more negative. And then It'd be ditto.

I'd paste Amy Lee's cheeks together with my manspunk, but other than that, they can all go die.

I think everyone's first impression of them came from Bring Me to Life, and it made them think that they were a Linkin Park copy... just because it had a male rapper-esque vocal in it.
Thus making them out to be shit, when imo... there are definitely far worse bands out there.

The piano version of My Immortal is so deep. It's an old gfs tune, brings a tear to my eye whenever I hear it. I don't care for their other stuff though.

:O Any particular reason for that outburst of hatred?
They're generic, pseudo-goth, overplayed pop rock, with twinges of nu-metal. It's really not my thing. The lyrics are boring, samey, and her voice is far from unique. The novelty of a good voice instead of some squeaky American twat whinging wears off very fast.

I never cared about them. I have to say though Amy Lee got some decent vocals, its enough to be powerful to adults emotions. The only single I actually liked from them is My Immortal. But even then when it gets to the hard rock part, it ends up sounding like all their other rehash of generic music.

I have to also add I think they have great potential at being more dark, more like a romantic nightmare; which I think they try to go for. I believe its just the music and the whole music video direction that doesnt make it work for me.

They still have time to mature...

Amy Lee has a good voice, but the band and their music is way too generic to make it anything special... (IMO)

Edit - @Keane, they added in a part to the song for the single that wasn't in the original? That's a new one on me o_O
