Hey. I have an assignment that is due tomorrow that requires that I talk to a police officer. I was wondering if you know anyone that is a police officer or former officer. I just have a few questions.

Everytime I have called the station, there isn't one there.

Thx. Help would be greatly appreciated. :)

well my sisters dating a cop. Dunno when he'll never be around though.

You could just go into the local police station and ask someone there, usually happy to help.. course they might decide to beat you instead :p

I was a security guard if you get desperate :P

Awesome. Here are the questions:

1. Which of the following causes stress for officers?
a. imagined danger
b. too much work
c. not enough work
d. all of the above

2. The field officer's first responsibility at the scene of a crime is to...
a. care for the injured
b. arrest the suspect
c. protect the scene
d. collect evidence

3. It appears that a large segment of the public is seeking____the police
a. distancing from
b. to control
c. more involvement with
d. none of the above

4. The average citizen's perception of police roles is more frequently based upon...
a. personal experiences
b. information provided by the police
c. media depictions
d. none of the above

Also, if you could tell me the rank that she currently holds, that'd be great.

According to her...
1) B. (she doesn't get paid enough, has to work extra duty)
2) C. (more like "secure" the scene though...calm the situation down)
3) A.
4) A. (unfortunately, a lot of the cops around here are just bubbas who want to do nothing but beat up black people, so people assume that's what ALL cops are like)

She's a Corporal. Been on the force 12 years.

That's quite interesting actually. We tend to fear the police for some reason...and they're here to help. I don't know about the black people reference, but that's all likely due to a show on the FOX network called "COPS". :|

He_Who_Is_Steve, thanks sooo much dude. I appreciate it.  :E :bounce:
