arctic summers ice free as early as 2013.

*waits for "global warming is da lie now excuseme while I go to the store in front of my house in my 4x4 chevy kingrancher to buy some toilet paper cuz I cant reach the place where they are in my house" coments*

Not that scary. Nothing we can do about it. We're all f*cked anyway. French have a nice phrase for it, but I can't spell it.

I personally am looking forward to living in the movie Water World.

Hell yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Krynn, let's grab some junk and start working on our raft city now. In 15-20 years when the world's submerged, people'll be begging to get in.

I, for one, welcome our new polar bear overlords.

edit: wait, no...they'll all be dead. It's the walruses and seals we're going to have to watch out for, isn't it?!

Woot, I'll finally be able to discover the northern passage!

:(

Why am I sitting here in Texas, longing for snow and not doing shit about it?

I'm moving friggen' north tomorrow!

Anyone putting a negative spin on this isn't thinking about it correctly. It's the perfect time to buy land (at least in the US, with house prices falling through the floor) and turning a nice profit when it becomes waterfront property in a few years. I plan on making a shit-ton of money that way and retiring at 35.

Wait, I was supposed to wait for Waterworld to happen before I started drinking that? Whoops.
God damnit, Krynn, you do that every time. One day I'll have to take that urine filtration system away from you. And neither of us wants that.

This will be great for shipping between Russia and Canada

Not scary at all. The quiescent climate on this planet is one where there are no ice caps. Greenland was being colonised by Vikings only a few hundred years back. The entire UK was once covered by ice.

...the problem about climate change isn't that a warmer climate can't be handled by the planet, it's that we're wtfpwning our own civilization...

Meh I've already accepted the fact that climate change is inevitable. We are STILL climbing out of the last major ice age. So I don't worry about it. Controlling planetary climate should never be a power humanity brings to bear.
