ARRRRR the next Oblivion download will be pirates

Developer Ashley ACheng Cheng showed off the upcoming Thieves Den download for Oblivion behind closed doors today, but I got a chance to check it out.
"Basically, it's Goonies," he said. "That's what we really wanted."

In the downloadable mission, which will be released in two weeks, you battle for control of a massive cave, complete with a haunting pirate ship. Once you conquer the lair, it forever belongs to your character.

You can start a band of pirates. You can plunder. And you can decorate your captain's chamber with furniture.

Cheng also hinted at further content on the way.

"We're going to keep on releasing demos every three to four weeks as long as people keep playing," Cheng said. "We've got six or seven in the queue—one is a huge and epic dungeon."

The two downloadable missions for Oblivion are two of the top downloads on Xbox Live® Marketplace. The only thing that will change, Cheng said, is the cost. "We're really trying some different things on the pricing."

Though Bethesda is committed to downloadable content Cheng said that it will not affect expansion packs, which he didn't give a launch date for.

Charging more? I assumed they would be released at a lower price from now on, and they should be lowering the price of the mini-mods that are already out.

They won't be charging more, trust me. You can't start selling something for $2, and then change your mind and start selling it for $3. That would be the worst business strategy ever, and that is why it is never done. They start high, sell as much as they can, when people stop buying it, they must lower the price and see if they can't start a resurgence of sales.

I actually always think these mods are content there charging extra for that was supposed to be in the original game but they thought they could get some extra money.

I love pirates. I hate microtransactions. Disguise them as one big expansion pack and I will buy them, but never like this....

I'm pretty sure that if it doesn't fit on your memory card, then you don't get it. Simple as that.
