This game deserves its own thread in this section imo. I have been playing almost nothing else the last couple of days. I started out with pointman, but I switched to mono pro, since it requires less thinking (you were right, Pitzy ;) It hurts the head).

Currently browsing through the songs that get played most. Song 2 by Blur is a great one. Especially the fast bits are a real challenge. Great fun and since it's only 2 minutes or so, you can try and try and try again but again fail to get into the top 10. I can evade all the grey blocks but I always seem to miss one or two coloured blocks. Argh! My current record is 30.317.

What are the songs you have been playing most?

EDIT I have been such a douche. I should learn to use search. Bad Shaker. Feel free to erase this thread.

I've only played the demo but will get the full game soon. I've played:

Hoppipolla - Sigur Ros
Beautiful World - Utada Hikaru
I believe in you - Il Divo
Mr Blue Sky - Electric Light Orchestra

Anything relatively fast with a strong beat is fantastic in Audiosurf and makes up what I've been playing.

Bach - Toccata and Fugue in D minor is great.

I believe I should be able to post a link here since there's no copyright, if you want.

I find mono too boring. Pusher is my current favourite out of the colours ones.

I am playing techno Japanese songs and my BRAIN IS POURING OUT OF MY EARS.

Don't like the multi-coloured ones, i get confused between everything due to my colourblindness.

Started using the middle Mono, favourite track so far is Bleeding Me live :D

Pretty fun game.

Played a few songs by Disturbed: Stricken, Ten Thousand Fist, and Land of Confusion.

Wouldn't really consider buying it though.

I've been playing a lot of songs throughout the "YTMND Soundtrack" folder of mine. I did pretty good at Eric Prydz- Call On Me =D

xLucid, come on man, 10 bucks! D:

I can't wait to get home and buy this game. Then I'll be playing songs from Dire Straits and some Metallica, among other things.

This is more fun to watch than to play, IMO. But still more than worth the fiver it costs. :D

(I recommend Tool and NIN. I do NOT recommend The Mars Volta :x )

Have you tried doing Beside You In Time on Ninja Mono? It's breathtaking.

I tried playing some Buzzcocks on ninja mono, but punk rock is far too fast for me...

Still, the game is brilliant and a deal at $10

Btw Veg, I beat your My-Pace Daioh Ninja Mono score.

If he's not that keen on it, why spend money for the sake of it?

Might try the demo.

Because $10 is nothing.

I played the demo with a variety of songs and felt that their algorithm for working out where the blocks go needed some work. I might buy it one day.

I suggest you all play "What it is to burn(new version)" by finch in audiosurf. It fits so well and the way the song is makes it epic. It was one of the songs I played and after it nothing else seemed to fit very well. I loved it.

Also...this game is meant for drugs.

Probably would play it for a day and then never look at it again.

Sure it's only $10 but it's still spending money.

Every time you got new songs, you would try them out in Audiosurf. I guarantee it. :D

I know I would...I often like listening to music while on my comp but don't like simply sitting there. I guess when I get some money audiosurf will eat up hundreds of hours.

Trashed and Scattered by Avenged Sevenfold, Beloved by VNV Nation and pretty much all of The Mars Volta are very punishing on Ninja Mono.

What? I don't play Ninja mono. It's for noobs. All scores are shown no matter what character you play. The only seperation is between easy, medium, and elite or whatever they are called.

Guess who I found!

3 guesses as to what he'll be reviewing next... :D

What did you play? Pointman Elite?

lol @ trying to be pro on casual game.

If you like Song 2, try My Favourite Game by The Cardigans. Great little track.

I also beat it on Pointman Elite before my computer exploded in a cloud of pulsating swirling lights.

Game reviewer plays game SHOCKER!

Film at eleven.

I wouldn't call mono nooby but it certainly seems to remove most of the things that make the game interesting. You certainly don't need to engage even a modicum of your higher brain functions.
