Aussie Release time.

Apologies if this has been posted before, but I was wondering if any Aussies could verify for me, or anyone in fact, what time for QLD and other parts of Australia Half-Life 2 will be able to be activated on steam at. I was contemplating taking the day off, but if the game will be activated around 6ish, which is what I have heard then there is no point. That is all.

I live in Canberra. Release in QLD is 6pm. The rest of the east coast is 7pm cause of daylight savings

it activates on the 16th, but many retailers wont get it till the 17th. That means steam peoples get it the minute activating starts

isn't australia a day ahead, so 6pm release would be 17th here? im not quite sure

my last uni exam ever finishes at 3.30pm and it takes me 20 minutes to drive home. Then hl2 is unlocked at 4pm. How's that for timing!!

i think they wanted evrone to get it at same time so they putting australia on 17th but im not really sure.

steam will unlock hl2 at 6:00pm on the 16th in queensland.

some retailers wont sell till 9am on the 17th.

yep, thats what i heard because i searched on some time convertor and:

If the time in Sydney is 6:00:00 PM, Tuesday, November 16, 2004, the corresponding time in Seattle is 12:00:00 AM, Tuesday, November 16, 2004.

I'll play it when I feel like it haha

Its a pity I pretty much have 1-2 days, then im off to schoolies, where I plan to be occupied for at least a week

There's also daylight savings to consider,sydney will be able to activate hl2 at 7pm on the 16th(provided of course your particular area has released it by then)and of course that will be the same for Melbourne.

I pre-ordered my copy from Eb games in Melbourne,and I was told to expect it around lunch time on the 16th. :thumbs:
