There's not a deeface big enough for this shit.

According to police, Elisabeth Fritzl told investigators her father put her to sleep with an anaesthetic on August 28, 1984, handcuffing her in a locked basement.

Officially, she was declared a missing person, with Interpol opening an investigation.

A letter was sent to her parents asking that they stop searching for her and local authorities concluded she had been seized by a religious sect.

She told police that she spent years imprisoned in an underground chamber beneath the family home near the eastern town of Amstetten.

Elisabeth Fritzl told detectives she was "regularly abused" by her father and their incestuous relationship produced seven children.
Just... ugh. ;(

The people under the stairs in real life. Are there more people out there like this? I think if government tracking gets more intrusive this sort of thing could become much more common.

I heard about something like this recently, but the girl was not kin.

Anyway, she escaped after years, and when he came home to find her gone, he killed himself. Should have done that first IMO, then it would have never happened.

This guy deserves the worst spot in hell for something like this. 24 years.... **** i haven't even been alive for that long.

Austria's most notable prior case was that of Natascha Kampusch, locked up by a man in the basement of a house for eight years before she escaped.

Kampusch was 10 when Wolfgang Priklopil abducted her on her way to school in 1998. The 44-year-old kidnapper killed himself hours after she fled, throwing himself under a train.

In the article ;)

That guy is incredibly twisted, 24 years of doing this shit? Incalculably cruel. Article was a fascinating read though.

D:

What a ****ing bitchmonk shitdicks assclock pisstoed feces throwing monkey penis **** face.

I bet the kids that were born and raised in a locked cellar and kept in cages for their entire lives - and the article says that two of them are 18 and 19 - are pretty f*cked up...

Ugh, that's pretty sick. I'm wondering how his wife (Rosemarie) managed to live with him for 24 years without finding out that her daughter and those kids were trapped in the cellar. You'd think she would've have gotten curious at some point as to what was locked back there....

Must've been some serious soundproofing to have never heard them... unless they just didn't bother calling out. :(

I'm shocked by the whole story, but especially the 19-year-old girl that's been there the whole time. I'm 19 and so much has happened in my life up to this point. It's difficult to imagine that for as long as I have existed, this girl has been locked in a cellar. I feel so sorry for everyone who struggled through this ordeal, but especially this girl. So messed up.

I remember reading a fantasy book where there was this father who had a whole village of daughers/grand daughter/great grand daughters. He would have sex with each daugher and make more babies. And he would kill all the boys.

Craster from Song of Ice and Fire?

His own bloody daughter? WTF?! How come her Mom didn't do anything?

This is so awesom-TERRIBLE. *Cough* And this man should be forced to raise these children without a penis.

I'm always chained to things and being abused. I like it. Horses for courses.

^ Congratulations for being the only post in this thread I could bring myself to laugh at. :P

But at the cost of my soul... not that you'd know about that.

This is much like that one girl in the 70's that had been locked into one room for all her life. She was 11 or something if I remember right, when she was rescued. There is a movie about it, "Mockingbird Don't Sing".

But this is madness. 24 YEARS? Seriously... This brings a question if there are some cases like this unsolved. What if some are never found and for their whole life spent in cellar under control of some crazy old man? But is that 18 year old boy or girl? I am just thinking what happens when they learn about everything of the surrounding world.

How fitting is the song Riding Dirty here? Very Very Very Fitting...

This is one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen. There is simply no word to describe what I think should be done with the guy.

Heard this in the car, sat at some lights. My sister and I just looked at each other in disbelief, this is seriously messed up, FUBAR.

From what I've heard he claimed that the daughter had run away to join a cult, and whenever a baby popped up he claimed that the girl had returned to drop the baby off and then go back to the cult, so they weren't brought up in the cellar.

What I heard was that at least three of her kids had never seen sunlight. I wasn't quite sure about it, but she'd been pregnant six times and three of her kids had been brought up solely in the cellar. But there was also some thing about how him and his wife had a few kids or grandkids of their own, so maybe he pulled the cult-story on three of them? There was a big page about the wife and three kids who grew up with normal lives, not knowing anything about what husband/granddad had done to their granddaughter/mother.

Also, I read the newspaper in town today; First four pages were about this, the next page was about a woman whose house was broken into, she was severaly beaten and her two kids died from their injuries, the next page was something about a little kid finding a buried treasure, then a dog that was attacked by some other dog while trying to defend her 75-year old owner which might die, and finally a two-page article about an Iraqi girl who fell in love with a british soldier and was attacked by her father when he discovered it. Her mother cried for her brothers to try and stop him, and when they found out what she'd "done" they helped the father beat and stab her to death. Happy, happy world.
