Autosave

Me and my son play HL2, but i have noticed that you cannot allocate yourself save slots and give them a name. I like that approach to saving games as it allows me and my son to play the same game , but at different levels, plus you do not wipe out the other persons saves. In HL2 i have noticed that the auto save automatically overwrites a saved slot the result is that my son who plays for about 2 hrs has a wealth of saves. when i go to restart from my saved position it is not there because the game ovewrites them :angry: . This is very annoying as im probably like most families, who have one computer but share an interest in some genres when it come to playing computer games that other family members like

Yeah, it's really unfortunate. I guess they just assumed that no one shares a Steam account. If you really wanted to get technical about it I don't see any reason why you couldn't move the save game files, make a folder for yours and one for his and just move them into the save directory (~\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\UserName\Half-Life 2\HL2\SAVE) when you want to play. It might be kind of tedious but it would probably work.
