I got tickets for a Rush concert, **** yes! I CANNOT WAIT!

4 months and 11 days! Toronto, bitches!

woooo yea!

It's their Snakes & Arrows tour, but I hope they play some Vapor Trails stuff, too! Man, I can't wait, I've been listening to pure Rush for the past day (got tickets yesterday)!

YES!

I may be there too actually. My friend's brother acquired some extra tickets, and knowing I'm a huge Rush fan, he invited me to go. Really looking forward to it, as I missed out on the last opportunity when they were in the area before.

there was a Rush concert near where I live not too long ago, unfortunately i have no friends who like Rush so I didn't go :(

saw them 4 times ..from the powerwindows tour till .some other concert, cant remember when ..geddy lee does live in toronto ..I've met alex liefson as a friend of mine is a studio musician and has recorded in his studio. Nice guy .***sh is awesome but I lost interest in their new stuff around power windows

their early stuff is awesome ..Signals probably being my fave only cuz I was a big big fan when it was released .. /hums intro to Subdivisions

I'd LOVE to meet Alex Lifeson (and Geddy Lee for that matter), you are lucky... I'm such a giant Rush fan, you've got no idea.. I was actually thinking of getting the starman tattooed on my back..

I hope they play some of their 'non-hits', I want to hear Twilight Zone live, that'd be sweet.

And how did you lose interest? Have you HEARD Vapor Trails? And Roll the Bones? c'mon! Their new album kicks ass, but I agree, you can't beat the classics. /hums Closer to the Heart

The starman is also one of the images I am considering for my first tattoo :O (along with either the Triforce or the HL2 symbol with a crowbar going through it). Geddy Lee is my absolute favorite musician, and just seeing some of the closeup videos of Rush live really shows how devoted they are to putting on flawless performances. Personally, I'm quite partial to their 90's era albums, but nothing beats Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures.

neil peart is so hard to air drum in this song

Well, there new stuff is good, by I never said it was better then the old stuff, the old stuff is un-beatable!

What they need to do is make another epic. Just finished listening to Cygnus X-1 Book one and two! It's like a half-hour for 2 songs! Although their best epic is 2112, I agree. (I stand a-top the spiral staaiiirs, an or-a-cle conf-ronts me there! I love that part!)

For the record I've got all of their albums (even the live ones), and I've got the video DVD of 'Rush in Rio' and 'A Show of Hands' (along with the albums). A friend of mine ordered R30 off of eBay, when he gets it we are watching it straight away!

As for the videos, can you just tell me what they are, I'm on dial-up, you see.. (I know, I know).

I saw rush on their thirtieth year anniversary tour. That was foru years ago, I think :O It was pretty cool.

And then later that year I saw barenaked ladies and sarah mclachlan. It was a good year.

ouch dialup ..it's the video for Countdown from the album Signals ...also a fan made anime (final fantasy?) that uses the song Losing it also from Signals (I dont think there's a Rush video for that song)

13th? That was their 30th, R30 I mentioned in my previous post. There was actually a one-hour special on SunTV on their R30 tour, it showed the hits they played when they were in Frankfurt. It was awesome.

@Stern - You really like Signals, don't you? :) Listening to Countdown right now, good song. Haven't listened to Signals for a while, I usually just go for New World Man or Subdivisions (I usually listen to Subdivisions on their Rush Gold album, though), then go to another album.

brings back memories from back in the day ...currently listening to analog kid

O_o I said thirtieth. not thirteenth.

Oh, so you did... I thought you were just a bad speller.. I've never actually seen the 30th word (maybe once)... My bad?

um... I forgive you? I think I'll start spelling out numbers more often.

two-thousand, one-hundred twelve.

Actually it's pronounced twenty-one twelve.

omgsuchanoob. :D
