Just felt like letting you all know the obvious in my quasi-drunken state. They kick you when you're down, every last one of them - all they care about is how to extract as much money from your misery as possible, and they extort you out of cash they have no right to for no reason at all. Who needs a tyrannical dictatorship when we have the modern banking industry? Bastards.

So anyway, keep your money under your mattress.

Well, you're the one supporting the current system RepriV, not I. Not I.

Yeah, you because your money will keep up with inflation under your mattress. Here is some advice from snl

It's just the principle. I resent anyone having control over my life at the best of times, but banks? They'll rape you dry at every opportunity, even when it's gonna harm your ability to actually clear your debts with them.
They have us by the balls so much that's its almost tempting to declare bankruptcy just for the sheer satisfaction of not giving those ****s another ****ing penny of my money.

And frankly, it's the average consumer's fault. No matter how bad we're treated by these bastards, we never take our loyalty elsewhere. They exploit people through extreme consumer apathy.

It ain't about capitalism man, it's about banks. No other industry gets away with treating its customers in such a diabolicial fashion.

because of capitalism man ..supply and demand ..you demand their supply and they laugh at you ...and laugh, and laugh

pro tip: banks tend to listen to you more if you slip them a note ..the note should have one or more of the following

"armed"
"not afraid to use it"
"unmarked bills"
"do not press the red button or else"

All banks are run by Jews - So it's unsurprising how they treat people.

I've been with the same bank for six years, but I've opened another account because they're waiting to sting me with 120 quid's worth of extortionate overdraft/direct debit charges. **** that, if they think they can treat a long-time customer that way then they can **** off. It'll be their loss when I'm earning a fortune and they ain't seeing a penny.
That's not what's pissing me off though. I cancelled a couple of direct debts to one of my creditors through my bank, and the creditor is now charging me 40 quid for cancelling my direct debits.
So, hang on a minute, I've had no income for the past two months, but I uphold my responsibilities, cancel my DDs and pay these bastards via CREDIT CARD and I get shafted for doing the right thing?
How is it even legal for them to charge me money for altering private arrangements with my bank? The only power I seemed to have in the matter was to tell the self-righteous skanky bitch on the phone to **** off.

<Bender>I'll start my own bank. With blackjack. And hookers.</Bender>

In my industry, you treat your customer even half as badly as banks do and your reputation and cashflow would be forever ruined.

I used to work for a Jewish company. Tight ****s, and then some. They'd rather hire a bunch of cheap useless morons than talented staff with their own opinions.

lets not stereotype oh people from the land of bad teeth ..not all bankers are jews ..in fact the 3 managers at my local branch are italian ..the only jews working for them are tellers ...even though I'd say half the clients are jewish

I meant the fat cats at the top of the ladder... It's just a fact - I meant nothing harsh by it. And is it impossible to be Italian and Jewish at the same time?

yay capitalism works.. not. i'm into a free market but other than that, communism all the way.

Other than buying into the conspiracy that Jews control everything!

Anyways... debt sucks. I plan on avoiding credit cards and buying stuff with money I don't have for as long as possible. There are some situations where you'd have to use a credit card, perhaps for a new car or a home, but all other things I wouldn't think about getting unless I put all the money down up front. That's the way I bought my computer, even though they had financing plans.

errr ....yes

The underlying problem with the banking industry is pretty simple - the free market only works effectively when people stand up for their own rights.
Business services are generally heavily biased in favour of the customer because the customer is very demanding and won't hesitate to go elsewhere if you provide anything but a top quality service.
People don't usually give a second thought to their bank once they've set up an account, so the banks can get away with blue murder. If people actually demanded more from their banks then we wouldn't be in this situation.
It's just psychology - how you are treated usually depends on how you let people treat you. I'm sure we've all taken more than we deserved from people in the past, and only because they didn't know where to draw the line.

Yeah man. The accounts I hold with these bastards are both 0% finance, which sounds pretty innocuous but if it goes tits up they'll still find a way to extort money out of you.
Still, the stuff I bought with the finance saved my lower body from being an unrecognisable bloody mess so it ain't all bad.

They even try to **** you over for their own "mistakes". A while ago I set up a direct debit to pay my 0% credit card every month, only they conviniently forgot to mention it wouldn't take effect until next month. They tried to hit me with a penalty charge and start charging me interest because I "missed a payment". I had to yell at them on the phone for about 20 minutes and speak to several different people until they gave in. Cheeky bastards.

It wasn't in the small print?

I am disagree with this opinion. Today banks are very helpful. Most of the banks have ATM centers in all over the country. We can withdraw our money from the bank in every time you want using ATM cards.

idiot.

Huh... I guess it has something to do with how wealthy or populated a country is. Banks over here are all about image. They'd never get away with crap like that if they wanted to keep customers.

I LOL'ed my head of.:D Are "unmarked bills" money that's not currently being used by an account?

"Why yes, you do have two magnificent arms!"
"And why should you be? You're not handicapped. Enjoy them good sir!"
"Certainly we do not mark our bills. Pristine as the mint made them!"
"We needn't more office supplies yet, else we might do just that!"

Unmarked bills means that they are not traceable. I would imagine that banks have a supply of marked bills ready just in case of a robbery. These bills could have radioactive dyes, or radio emitters, or known serial numbers.

I hate banks and I'm not even in debt beyond mortgage and student loans.

****ing hell I laughed.

I've been told privately owned banks are slightly less ****ish than the ones with publicly owned stocks. Anyone know if that's true?

Never take out a loan - youll owe them for life

Ive never ever borrowed money from a bank, even go into my overdraft. Id rather spend a whole month of eating 10p noodles and beans on toast than go into my overdraft (even if it IS a student one so i can go 1250 into the red), as they just rip you apart.

Banks are for saving money, thats it, you borrow, you burn.

I know my dad currently owes no mortgage, no loan payments (he never made one anyway), and the bank owes HIM money for messing up a few transactions recently. How ironic.

I aim to follow his lead really.
