Blazing Angels

Is some arcade flying game beeing made for the 360. It's probably ginna suck.
In any case, it looks stunning.
Now a lot of nextgen things look stunning, and this game in relative terms probably doesn't come close to most nextgens. But the thing is, those games and those genres always had games that really looked good, they just look even better now. They could allready be very atmospheric and nice on current gen.

But that just wasn't the case with flying games, they just never had the power.
In any case there is scene where you fly above london, or some city, and WOW!!! You just have to see it. A lot of people here are fans of Elite, just imagine those games with these looks, just imagine decending to a big futuristic city like this.

In any case the only movie online I could find that shows that scene is on a ducth site, but don't worry. You just click in the down right side of the screen, where it says"Blazing Angels 360 preview" And watch.

They have really made a good-match with the use Greyish Colours and the Bloom effects. Its one of those rare times when using bloom really adds to the atmosphere

What did you think of the setting sun's rays relfecting of the roofs, the amount of buildings, the weather effects, the small patches of coulds or mist. Just imagine Freelancer with thease kind of effects.
In all other flying games the ground is blurry and without detail cause the engine can hand't handle it, it just isn't much to look at. But here just fying by a building or a ship is an experience in itself.

The first screenshots of this one looked amazing and I wanted a 360 just for it, but then I watched some of the vids and was not nearly as impressed with it. Perhaps once it comes out and reviews are posted I will form a different opinion, but I just thought it would be a lot better. I am still looking for a flying game that beats Wings for the Amiga! :thumbs:
