I think we can all agree that the new smoke grenades in CS:S really kick a$$. Imagine the type of gameplay that the source engine is going to allow using not only the new physics system, but also the particle system.
Imagine setting fire to car tires and having the air fill with thick, acrid, black smoke. Now imagine chucking that flaming tire into a hallway or other confined area and have it just enveloped in thick, black smoke.
There are so many possibilities like this that are going to change the way we play games when mod developers start to use the Source engine to build new games. Since HL1 was built on a modified Quake 2 engine, i'm really looking forward to see what Source can bring to the table.
We, as gamers, are just going to benefit by Valvue putting out a great engine. Raising the bar indeed.
