Can't get cheats to work

i have sv_cheats set to 1 in the console, but god and noclip don't work. also when i try to use the "changelevel" command, it says that i'm not running a server..

put sv_cheats "1" in a autoexec.cfg in the cfg folder, should work then. And I think the changelevel command is different for single player.. search the forums a bit you'll find it.

He shouldnt have to do anything other than he did. At least I didn't. I just popped open the console, sv_cheats 1

And then they all worked after that.

yah I know, but he must of did something wrong, but with the autoexec he won't ever have to enter it again.

create a short cut to HL2
right click the hl2 icon go to properties.
then in the target ant the end of the line type -console
when in game pres the ¬ key....
then type sv_cheats 1
then in the console type impulse 101
