Saw this last night, probably the wierdest japanese film ive ever seen, and completely uncomprehendable. I didn't know what was going on for the most part, in fact im pretty sure i still don't know what it was all about, but i found it immensly entertaining anyway for some reason, even though the CGI isn't all up to scratch.

Have to say im glad i didn't get wasted before watching it or my brain might've just exploded. Not even sure if i liked this film. It made my head hurt.

Anyone else seen it?

Yep

I think it's about the rich nations always making scapegoats out of the poor, because sometimes they are robot zombies.

I bought the DVD the other day, not got round to watching it yet though. Looks pretty good.

Yep thats the version i saw, came out a couple of weeks ago, didnt check for dubbing but it had subs

damn good film, though my japanese teacher hated it, but maybe its cause she's old, very depressing, but enjoyable and thought-provoking nonetheless, the imagery is beautiful and converys the wasteland excellently
